We promote sustainable communities to end plastic pollution

It is an activity where you mainly want to raise awareness about the problem of plastic pollution through talks.

Subsequently, 3 different activities can be carried out:

1.Micro plastic cleaning: They will choose an area on the beach that they are going to work on. Each team will go with their filter in search of microplastics. The idea is to measure them, classify them, analyze them.

2.Plastic art workshop: Using materials collected from beach cleanups, we combine creativity with possible solutions to current problems. After the creation of art pieces, the participants present their creations.

3.Circular lives workshop: Analysis of our day to day to create a more sustainable routine and create awareness in each of the actions we do every day.

More information about the experience

A presenter welcomes the group and introduces them to the collaborating entity, explaining the action to be carried out. Then, teams are created to carry out the chosen activity. Each team is distributed the necessary material and the activity and environmental awareness is carried out. Once finished, the activity will be closed, a short meditation and steps to follow.

All the necessary material to develop each of the different actions are available to the group. These are activities that take place outdoors on specific beaches on the Catalan coast (always taking into account the client’s preferences).

The ocean covers 71% of our planet and produces about 51% of the oxygen we breathe. This means that half of the oxygen we breathe comes from the photosynthesis process of phytoplankton (also known as microscopic algae). Thanks to corals, our oceans also store 50% more CO2 than our atmosphere. This means that the ocean must be everyone’s priority, and we all have a responsibility to work for cleaner and healthier seas.
